Rachel Day is an experienced executive coach and team facilitator who brings over two decades of leadership and development expertise to her work with individuals, teams, and organisations. She is qualified in Thinking Environment methodologies and creates reflective, energising spaces where clients can think deeply, act decisively, and lead with clarity and purpose.
Rachel is the founder of The Flying School Project and co-founder of the Centre for Wisdom and Balance. Her practice is rooted in a distinctive approach to thoughtful leadership, combining coaching, facilitation, and strategy with a deep understanding of human dynamics. Through her work she supports senior leaders and teams across sectors, including the NHS, global corporations such as Unilever, and a wide range of public sector organisations.
Her areas of focus include executive coaching, leadership development, board facilitation, team trust-building, and strategic thinking. She is a qualified Time to Think coach and facilitator and holds an advanced diploma in executive coaching from Oxford Brookes in partnership with the EMCC. She also works with teachers, parents, and children in school-based workshops and online programmes that promote confidence and communication across all ages.
Rachel has a background in senior leadership herself, having previously served as Head of Development and Communications at the Department of Health. She later became Director at Farsight Leadership Ltd, where she developed a leadership model in collaboration with Manchester Business School and worked extensively with NHS leaders and private sector clients including Lloyds Bank and Arriva.
Rachel brings a warm, thoughtful presence and a calm challenge to her coaching. She is passionate about helping others find boldness, clarity, and connection in their leadership. She is a published author, a collegiate member of Time to Think Ltd, and an active volunteer, including eight years as Chair of Governors at a children’s centre.
