Dr Rona Mackenzie’s keynote presentation from GESS Saudi Arabia 2025
Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of attending GESS Saudi Arabia — and what an inspiring few days it was. The conference brought together an incredible community of educators, innovators, and changemakers from across the region, all passionate about shaping the future of learning. From AI to inclusion, from early years to edtech, the conversations were rich, thoughtful, and full of possibility.
The highlight for us was seeing our brilliant Director of Future Leadership, Dr. Rona Mackenzie, take to the stage for her insightful and thought-provoking keynote: “What Happens to Leadership When AI Joins the Room?”
Rona offered a powerful and provocative take on AI in education — not as a tool to fear, but as a mirror for how we lead. She explored how GenAI is exposing leadership patterns, prompting us to ask: “What is AI learning about me?” and “Am I ready for that reflection?”
In the video above, Rona walks us through the heart of her talk — sharing stories, insights, and her practical Whole Self Insight leadership model to help school leaders grow with purpose in an AI-shaped world.
If you missed the session (or just want to revisit it), this is your chance to catch up. It’s thought-provoking, honest, and deeply human — just like the conversations we had throughout GESS.
