Senior Graphic Designer

Education:

MA Industrial Design

Ayda is the creative mind behind much of IG’s visual identity. With a background in industrial design and years of experience across digital and print, she brings clarity, beauty and purpose to everything she creates.

Ayda’s creative journey began in Turkey where she studied Industrial Design before working at a government institute that specialised in designing and manufacturing cryptological equipment for the Turkish army. It was an unusual first role for a designer, but one that gave her a solid foundation in precision, problem solving and working with complex technology. After four years, her passion for design took her to London where she completed an MA in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins.

Her career since then has been wonderfully varied. Ayda worked freelance for many years, taking on a range of creative projects while also working part time at Samsung as a design resource librarian. This experience, combined with her technical background, shaped a style that is both thoughtful and highly practical. She brings together industrial design thinking, 3D modelling, graphic design and even laser cutting techniques, creating work that is both functional and visually engaging.

Ayda joined IG in 2017 and has played a key role in shaping the look and feel of our brand. She creates meaningful and organised visuals for digital platforms, physical materials, e learning content and everything in between. The evolution of IG’s visual identity over the years is something she feels quietly proud of, and so do we.

Outside of work, Ayda is just as creative. She enjoys stained glass work and crochet, both of which influence her design sensibilities and love of structure, colour and craft. She is inspired by art, music and nature, and still smiles when she remembers that she once planned to be a vet.

She loves the friendships she has made at IG and values the supportive working culture, especially her close collaboration with Deniz. Her favourite moments tend to be the simple ones, like team gatherings that remind her how much she enjoys the people she works with.
