Chris has spent over 25 years working at the intersection of education and business, supporting leaders, managers and organisations to grow through high quality learning. His career spans both the public and private education sectors, and he has extensive experience delivering vocational and commercially funded programmes across a wide range of leadership and management frameworks.
In 2010, Chris transitioned fully into vocational education, focusing on qualifications that have real currency in the workplace. He understands the importance of not just assessing learners, but supporting, encouraging and inspiring them to achieve. His approach is grounded in the belief that learning should be developmental and empowering, not simply a compliance exercise.
As a Doctorally qualified leader, teacher, lead verifier and executive coach and mentor, Chris brings deep expertise to his role as CMI Lead Verifier at IG. He supports qualifications from CMI Level 5 through to Level 8 doctoral programmes and is known for his inclusive, listening style. He adapts his approach to meet the needs of each learner and strives to create learning experiences that have a lasting impact on both confidence and performance.
One of Chris’s proudest achievements at IG has been working closely with the team in Riyadh to support learners in achieving accredited qualifications consistently. He has also played a key role in embedding CMI recognised and accredited programmes across Inspirational Group, helping ensure quality, consistency and learner centred delivery.
Outside of work, Chris lives in Bath with his wife and enjoys spending time outdoors. Walking, swimming and surfing help him switch off, and surfing in particular remains a guilty pleasure whenever he gets the chance. He draws inspiration from his wife and from the steady discipline of small, consistent efforts, reflected in his favourite quote:
