Felicity Wingrove

Fliss has spent her career exploring the psychology of language and helping people use it as a force for positive influence. With more than two decades of experience advising global organisations, senior leaders and Boards, she specialises in the connection between communication, motivation and human performance.

Her experience is both wide-ranging and impressive. She led external communications for BAE Systems (Air Systems) where she developed a deep understanding of lobbying, parliamentary affairs, crisis communication and the realities of operating on the world stage. She has written speeches for politicians, coached those pitching to them and supported internal communication at BP during the Deepwater Horizon crisis. These roles reinforced her belief that communication is not simply a technical skill, but a responsibility that shapes how people act, feel and lead.

A natural entrepreneur, Fliss has founded and sold businesses in language mastery, PR, coaching and consultancy. Alongside her work with IG, she still runs her own ventures and brings a highly commercial perspective to the design and delivery of every programme. As our lead Associate for the psychology of communication and language mastery, she supports clients around the world to communicate with confidence, insight and integrity.

In every setting, Fliss is known for her energy, warmth and brilliantly engaging style. She loves the moment when someone realises how powerful their voice can be when they communicate from a place of clarity and purpose. Her work blends psycholinguistics, behavioural psychology, ethical influence and strategic communication, always grounded in a genuine belief that people deserve to be heard and understood.

Outside of work, life with Fliss is full of celebration. She marks everything from Burns Night and St Patrick’s Day to National Unicorn Day. Half birthdays come with cake, gifts and a special meal. Christmas is a six-week festival of friends, food and laughter. She also has a more unexpected side. Before becoming a parent she trained in Mixed Martial Arts and boxing, and still describes herself as perfectly capable of looking after herself.

Fliss is inspired by people who stand in their integrity and use their voice to create positive change. She admires those who act with courage, compassion and purpose including Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Martin Luther King Jr and Winston Churchill. Her favourite quote captures this philosophy:

When asked why she enjoys working for IG, Fliss talks about the people. In her words, they are bright, talented and passionate, and they make every day interesting.
