Iain has been part of Inspirational Group since 2003 and brings an exceptional depth of knowledge about both the organisation and its clients. Over the years, he has worked with teams across the world, from India to the United States, supporting individuals at every stage of their leadership journey, from early careers through to board level.
As IG’s lead innovator, Iain is responsible for designing many of the organisation’s award winning leadership programmes. His work is rooted in a deep understanding of how people learn, how teams function and how organisations create value. He is particularly known for developing commercial simulation training, where teams work together within carefully designed scenarios to solve complex business challenges. These simulations bring strategy, behaviour and decision making together in ways that feel real and memorable.
Before joining IG, Iain began his career in the demanding environment of a Big Four accounting firm. There, he successfully led the training of a graduate intake of more than 600 people, an experience that sharpened his ability to design learning at scale without losing quality or relevance.
Iain’s work is underpinned by a strong academic and professional foundation. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Wadham College, University of Oxford. He is recognised by the British Psychological Society and is certified to use a wide range of psychometric tools, including MBTI, Strength Deployment Inventory, Strengthscope and DiSC. This combination of analytical discipline and psychological insight allows him to design development experiences that are both intellectually robust and deeply human.
Outside of work, Iain lives in Kent with his wife, three children and a Dalmatian best described as energetic. When he is not working, he enjoys running, reading and fixing whatever the children have most recently broken, often with good humour and patience.
