It introduces core strategic leadership principles and requires participants to apply them to a defined function or operational area.

 

Through blended learning, applied assignments, and reflective practice, participants develop the capability to align strategy with delivery, enable innovation, and build leadership capability across layers of management. Successful completion leads to a recognized professional qualification awarded by the Chartered Management Institute.

    Level 6 focuses on senior operational leadership. It introduces strategic leadership principles and applies them to a defined organizational area, whereas Level 5 focuses on developing effective middle management capability.

    CMI guidelines suggest that an Award typically takes 3 to 6 months to complete, a Certificate 6 to 12 months, and a Diploma 12 to 24 months, depending on pace of study. However, our experience over many years indicates that most learners take closer to double these timeframes to complete their qualification.

    Assessment is completed through written assignments that apply leadership concepts to your organizational context. All work is reviewed by qualified CMI Assessors.
