Driving Systemic Transformation

A mastery-level programme for senior leaders. Develop the systemic sight, narrative intelligence and complexity leadership skills required to drive transformation across whole organizations.

Driving Systemic Transformation

At a glance

Learning objectives:

  • Apply systems thinking to identify patterns and interdependencies within organizations.
  • Navigate complexity and lead effectively in uncertain, rapidly shifting environments.
  • Recognise and manage polarities to balance competing strategic priorities.
  • Build partnership and collaboration across organizational boundaries.
  • Identify the underlying narratives shaping organizational behaviour and reframe them to enable change.
  • Apply the Cynefin sense-making framework to improve decision-making in complex conditions.

Who’s it for?

  • Senior and strategic leaders responsible for transformation across business units or entire organizations.
  • Leaders navigating complexity and building alignment across functions, cultures and geographies.
  • Executives seeking to strengthen systemic sight and the capability to influence organizational narratives.

Systemic transformation fails when leaders see only part of the picture. At a strategic level, effective change requires the ability to read the whole system, navigate competing tensions and shift the narratives that shape organizational behaviour. These are not optional capabilities. They are performance-critical ones.

Driving Systemic Transformation

Programme Overview

Driving Systemic Transformation equips senior leaders with the tools and mindset to lead in complexity. Through experiential workshops, storytelling and peer learning, participants develop systemic sight, narrative awareness and the partnership strategies that sustainable transformation demands. Drawing on systems thinking, polarity management and the Cynefin framework, the programme builds the capability to operate with greater clarity, influence and measurable impact across the whole organization.

Systemic Sight

Participants develop the ability to see beyond functional silos: identifying patterns, interdependencies and feedback loops that determine how organizations respond to change.

Narrative Intelligence

Leaders learn to identify the stories driving organizational behaviour and to reframe them with purpose, creating the conditions for change that holds at a system level.

Leading in Complexity

The Cynefin framework and polarity management give leaders structured, evidence-based approaches for decision-making in uncertain and complex environments where there is no single correct answer.

    FAQs

This is a Mastery-level programme for senior and strategic leaders. It is designed for those responsible for transformation across business units, functions or entire organizations, not for those leading change within a single team or project.

Cynefin is a sense-making framework that helps leaders categorise situations and choose appropriate responses. It is particularly useful in complex or uncertain environments, where no single correct answer exists. It is used in the programme as a practical, structured decision-making tool.

Polarity management is a structured approach to navigating tensions that cannot be resolved by choosing one position over another, such as stability versus innovation, or centralisation versus autonomy. The programme equips leaders to manage these tensions deliberately and productively.

Narrative and storytelling are embedded throughout as practical skills. Leaders learn to identify the stories shaping organizational behaviour and to develop and communicate new narratives that support transformation.

Yes. The frameworks and facilitation approach can be contextualised to reflect your sector, organizational challenges and transformation priorities. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
