Marc Reid

Marc Reid is an experienced workplace mediator, conflict coach, and consultant based in the UK. With a professional background spanning corporate leadership and HR-focused mediation, Marc helps organisations and individuals manage and resolve conflict effectively and sustainably.

He is a CEDR-accredited mediator and registered with the Civil Mediation Council. Marc has mediated a wide range of disputes, from team dynamics to community issues, and has also set up and led mediation services within a FTSE-listed multinational. Drawing on his extensive corporate background, which includes senior roles such as Managing Director in Egypt and Head of a global graduate programme, Marc understands first-hand the human complexities of organisational life.

Marc is the creator of the DIY Mediation approach, a practical conflict-resolution toolkit designed specifically for HR professionals and line managers. It equips them with the AGREE model, a structured, accessible process that helps address low-level conflict before it escalates. He has trained hundreds in this method and is widely respected for making conflict resolution both approachable and effective.

His core services include workplace mediation (for individuals or teams), conflict coaching, and conflict management skills training. Marc is also an active contributor to his local community, volunteering with a mediation charity to resolve neighbourhood disputes, and chairs the CIPD Thames Valley Special Interest Group for Independent Consultants.

Marc has authored three books on conflict management and is passionate about empowering others to transform conflict into positive change.
